Uga Chena Huts stands at Palatupana, on the southern edge of Yala near Tissamaharama, about twelve kilometres from the park's richest block and seven from the beach at Amaduwa. It is four to five hours by road from Colombo, or a short domestic flight to Mattala in the south and a drive on to the coast.
Once here, the seclusion is the point. Yala and its leopards lie just beyond the forest, the ocean is close, and the nine acres of cabins are quiet enough to feel the wild move through. Our designers arrange the private transfers, the game drives and the ranger team.
