Tangalle, South Coast
Amanwella lies on the deep south coast near Tangalle, reached by a track through coconut groves to a crescent bay. Mattala airport in the south is about an hour away, and Colombo's Bandaranaike International around two and a half hours by road, or fifty minutes by air taxi.
This is the quieter end of the south coast. The beach and its surf are below the suites, the fishing villages and lagoons of Tangalle are close, and the wildlife of Yala lies within reach for a day. Our designers arrange the private transfers, the air taxi and the coastal excursions.
